We also want to know that when we enjoy our food, our body is going to burn the calories efficiently so it doesn't get stored as extra body fat (again).
Most Women aren't doing the right things to keep their bodies functioning at an optimal level especially after the age of 35 when certain systems in their body start to slow down.
This means that the old ways that may have kept you in Shape Before, may no longer work.
Your body is changing so the methods you use should also change.
And Before I go any further, let me just say right now that please do not think that you have to do longer, high intensity workouts to get the best results.
As your hormones are changing, so is your resiliency to stress. The body is so quick now to release cortisol, with any little stress trigger, so doing things that cause more cortisol in your body, like long intense workouts and restrictive eating, isn't the answer to a leaner body.
In fact if you have taken this route before, It may have back fired on you, causing you to gain more weight, no matter how hard or long you workout. And everything you eat, may be getting stored in your body, instead of being used as fuel.
This is because stress and fat burn cannot co-exist.
If you're not eating enough, your body will release cortisol as an emergency fuel source and if you eat too much, it will release insulin.
Insulin spikes and fat burn cannot co-exist either.
The dangers of the insulin and cortisol war are real and can lead to long term chronic health issues, like metabolic diseases, if not managed.
This is why calorie cutting and long intense workouts are not the answer for Women over 40 who want to lose inches and shift their body composition.
We now need to step in and cue our own body to balance these hormones to release stored fat if we want to boost our energy, lean out and lose the extra hormonal inches and decrease the chances of these, and other chronic conditions, from setting in by our Post Menopausal years.
The good news is that it's not too late to make these changes so you can have a smoother menopausal journey with less weight gain, less symptoms, and more of a healthier outlook down the road.

Short Term Weight Loss, quick fix programs are actually causing further damage to your metabolism causing rebound weight gain.
This is not a long term solution.
